About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a passion for caring for others, to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our residents. You will have a positive compassionate attitude, the ability to make others smile, and be great at working with people. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere.

The role will require you to provide sound clinical assessment skills including physical and mental health with daily visits to houses to assess the Residents and to work with them to develop and review care plans. You will also be required to manage challenging behaviours and complex situations, along with management of events that occur within houses. You will provide support to the staff in the houses and answer questions regarding Resident care.

New graduates are welcome to apply as you will be fully supported with a thorough orientation by our clinical team.

As a Registered Nurse, you will use your skills to:

- Develop and monitor care plans.
-Carry out clinical assessments.
-Form a lasting relationship with residents, families and GP’s.
-Support the Director of Nursing and Service Manager with nursing requirements.

Requirements

 What we require from you:

 

  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards People/tangata.

  • NZ nursing registration and a current practicing certificate (new graduates can apply).

  • Full Class 1 driving License is essential.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Certification in first aid is a plus, but not essential (we will support you to gain First Aid Certification).

  • Flexibility to work shifts across the week, including weekends.

  • Ability to work in an environment of cultural understanding, dignity, equality, fairness and transparency.

  • Basic computer Literacy.
